Rig Mechanic
Description
We are seeking an experienced mechanic with heavy plant and hydraulic systems experience to assist in the maintenance of our expanding fleet of onshore drilling rigs and associated equipment.
The role would suit an individual with oil and gas or petrochemical industry experience or with a preference to work on a rotational shift basis. This is an opportunity to join a new and expanding company where you can influence the development of planned maintenance activities and spares inventory planning.

Background
Geometric Drilling is the wholly owned drilling division of Composite Energy Ltd, the UK's leading Coal Bed Methane (CBM) operator.
CBM is an unconventional source of natural gas exploited extensively in North America and Australia. Composite Energy is a major licence holder in the UK and has already implemented a pilot production test in central Scotland which has involved the drilling of up to 6 multi-lateral wells in deep coal seams. The Company is now preparing to embark on a significant and sustained onshore drilling programme, with a firm commitment to complete over 20 exploration wells across the UK.
Geometric Drilling executes all the drilling activities of Composite Energy. The Company currently owns and operates two modern land rigs and a third rig is due for delivery during September 2008. Geometric has ambitions to grow its rig fleet in line with its CBM development successes.
