Tom Pickering
|
Planning, Environment and Land Acquisition Manager
Previously worked with Amerada Hess Corporation, initially in Aberdeen and offshore North Sea in the drilling and well technology department as a operational improvement project planner, company improvement supervisor and executive assistant to the General Manager, Aberdeen. Delivered a new training package globally as a global asset initiative prior to leaving in 2004. Consulted to BG Group plc in their Aberdeen Drilling department on drilling performance improvement in deep water West of Shetland and in general adoption of performance improvement techniques. Part of the founding Composite team, he has developed a model for land acquisition, securing planning consents and for addressing environmental issues throughout the life of the wells.

Keith Lough

Chief Executive
Keith has over 20 years experience in the oil and gas and other energy industries including recent appointments as Finance Director, British Energy plc; Chief Financial Officer, Hurricane Hydrocarbons (later Petrokazakhstan) and Managing Director, Europe and North Africa for LASMO plc.
He has an MA in Economics from Edinburgh University, an MSc in Finance from London Business School and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
He is a Non Executive Director and Audit Committee Chairman of OHM plc.

Stephen Jewell

Chief Operating Officer
A Petroleum Engineer and a UK Chartered Engineer. Previously Global Head of Drilling and Well Technology for Amerada Hess Corporation, responsible for all types of onshore and offshore drilling operations worldwide, including onshore USA, Thailand and Algeria. Technical Manager for all Amerada Hess' UK-operated production interests and Reservoir Development Manager for the same company's new field developments in the UK. Final position with Amerada Hess was as Asset Manager for the Scott/Telford and Ivanhoe/Rob Roy fields in the North Sea and Acting General Manager of the company's Aberdeen Operations office. In this role he was directly accountable for Safety Case Compliance, Workforce Health and Safety and was the most senior Operations Manager in the UK.

Simon Westwood

Production Manager
Simon has over 25 years of experience in the oil, gas and nuclear energy industries in the UK, both onshore and offshore. Working for a number of operators, he has managed offshore installations in the Southern and Central North Sea, in the Irish Sea and was Terminal Manager for the Belgian/UK Interconnector at Bacton. More recently has managed a number of brownfield development projects for various operators.
A Chartered Engineer, he has a BSc. in Metallurgy from Imperial College, London and a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from The Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen.

David Goold

Senior Geologist
David has been working in conventional oil and gas exploration, onshore and offshore UK, since 1984. In 1999 he specialised in geotechnical and environmental consulting for mining stability studies in Central Scotland, where the legacy of historical coal mining continues to affect the landscape and built environment. He joined Composite Energy in 2006, having previously worked as a consultant on Composite's horizontal development drilling since 2004.
David has a BSc (Honours) in Geology and an MSc in Sedimentology from The University of Glasgow. He also holds an MSc (Distinction) in Software Engineering from The University of Stirling, and has a particular interest in the application of computing to the Earth Sciences.

Tim Trafford

Commercial and Business Development Manager
Tim joined Composite in May 2007 as Business Development and Commercial Manager. He comes with much experience of negotiating commercial and AandD agreements in the upstream exploration and production sector. Prior to joining Composite he was Commercial Manager for Shell's EandP business in the Asia-Pacific area. Previous assignments included Gas Marketing Manager for Enterprise Oil as well as Commercial Manager running projects in the Americas and Europe. Tim originally worked as a Geologist with BP before retraining as an economist.
He has a BA in Geology from Oxford University.

Colin Bousfield

Chief Financial Officer
Colin Bousfield joined Composite Energy as CFO in June 2007, having been a non-executive director of Composite since September 2005, he has over 30 years of banking experience that includes 20 years working in oil and gas lending; most recently with The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), where he was a Senior Director within the Oil and Gas Group. He has worked with both independent EandP companies and UK subsidiaries of major oil and gas companies, structuring debt facilities, developing new funding instruments, including mezzanine finance and equity facilities for early appraisal of fields, and advising on acquisitions in the North Sea, NW Europe, India, Australia and the Middle East, in all over 50 facilities totalling over US$10 billion.
