The Community
The UK has a strong coal industry heritage, and Composite Energy is proud to be a part of this industry as it evolves to a new phase of energy supply.
Composite Energy is committed to respecting and supporting the communities in which it operates. It places a strong emphasis on working in collaboration with local organisations as it conducts operations. As part of its 2007 appraisal programme, Composite has been working with Falkirk and Clackmannanshire councils to provide down hole geothermal data at no cost.
Regarding land stewardship, Composite is committed to minimising its environmental impact and operating within local and national guidelines - in particular those set out by the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency and the Health and Safety Executive.
The company plans all its operations around minimizing local disturbance - noise, pollution, and size of facilities.
Composite is also a significant local employer in the Stirling region - employing 16 staff at its head office, and 36 people in its drilling team.
